HOW DID THESE ERRORS COME ABOUT?

One of the most important revelations of the entire Message is the fact that the seven written Seals were broken to reveal the full mystery and doctrines of the Bible. This was done in March 1963 in Jeffersonville in the U.S.A. by the Lord Jesus in the form of the Holy Spirit, and seven Angels. They anointed the Prophet and endtime messenger William Branham to preach and reveal all the previously hidden portions of the Bible, to "unseal" all these mysteries which were not revealed to the Reformers and Messengers in the former days of their ministries since the day of Pentecost.

In Revelation 1:8, Jesus is introduced as the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, the Lord which IS, and which WAS, and which is TO COME. In Revelation chapters 2 and 3, we read prophesies for the Church which came to pass over the last 2000 years and are proven right by history. We see seven prophetic letters written by John to the angels or messengers for each age, dictated to John by the Lord Jesus Himself. We are now living in the latter part of the seventh and last Church age, at the endtime.

When the last "sheep" has come into the fold, then the Church ages will be completed. That will be the "ending", when the Omega will change from the One which IS to the One Who IS TO COME, from the Mediator and Highpriest to the coming Lion of the tribe of Judah. He will come from the Mercy Seat to meet all the saints of all the seven Church ages, at the Judgment Seat of Christ. All the true believers with their messengers will be gathered there, as the first of the 7 messengers, the Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 14:10 to 12. Brother Branham explained this Judgment of righteousness in detail after he was translated behind the Curtain of time.

10 ...for we shall ALL stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ.

11 For it is written, as I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to
me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

12 So then every one of US shall give account of himself to God.

This Judgment will be the fulfillment of Revelation 5;6 to 8:1, at that time and place we will see the Kinsman Redeemer take the Book out of the hand of Him that sat on the Throne and loose the seven Seals on the backside of the Book. In Revelation chapter 2, verses 7, 11, 17 and 26, and also chapter 3 verses 5, 12 and 21 we read: "To him that overcometh will I give..." This Judgment is for the overcomers only, the Bride of Jesus Christ will be rewarded for her stand for the truth at that day, for her righteous deeds which are written and sealed on the backside of the Book since the foundation of the world until that day of Redemption.

Brother Branham, the seventh and last messenger, started his ministry in 1946 with a mighty healing campaign, which was a sign that the Message would follow. During the following decade, he preached more and more the doctrines of the Bible without compromise. In the year 1960, he preached about the seven Church ages, comparing every age with the history according to the Bible. All these parts are important links in the continues unfolding of the Message all the way to the end, it is the Revelation of Jesus Christ, the One who IS, and WAS, and is TO COME.

Early 1963, seven Angels met the Prophet and told him that he must go back to Jeffersonville for the opening of the seven written Seals. The first three Seals revealed the identity of the white, the red and the black horse riders mentioned in Revelation 6: 1 to 6. Those horse riders were religious powers working through certain systems, which was the opposition for the believers who resisted them, which made them overcomers. That is the part of the Revelation of Jesus Christ which WAS, but the other four Seals opened up the revelation of what IS, and of that which is still TO COME. That is exactly where so many got mixed up, they could not draw a line between which "IS" and which "IS TO COME".

The following quotes show us that the misunderstanding came between the preaching of the Church ages and the 1963 Sealopening already . In this important part of the Prophet's ministry, he pointed out and taught unmistakingly, that there are two times seven Seals, seven to seal up the written Word, and seven on the back of the Book. Why did just about everybody miss this? Why did they then and still today just ignore or disregard the following quotes?

John heard the voices, and this Book was sealed, and the back of the book was sealed with Seven Seals; but in the days of these Seals to be opened, "The mystery of God would be finished." In other words, God would be known to His church; not in three people, but as one Person. "The mystery of God would be revealed," and when that was completely revealed, then the seven mysteries would open to the church ...

All this now that we see will help us by His grace as we endeavor to approach these LAST Seven Seals. See where we'd have missed it? From Revelation 6:1 to Revelation 19:21, we would've missed it, 'cause (See?) we'd have been trying to apply it back there in this Gentile age, where you see it's over in this age. See? Now, we have proved it by the Word of God, and by the history, and by everything, and by the signs of the times, by the days, that there's nothing else left. We're at the consummation of the Gentiles.

Would have missed it? Everybody we ever heard of HAS missed it! The explanation of these LAST seven Seals was given in this Gentile age, in March 1963. But when they will be loosed in reality by the bloody Lamb, the Gentile age will have ceased and the Gospel will have gone over to the Jews already. Then there will be nothing else left, but the opening of those last seven Seals, that will be the consummation of the Gentile age.

I want to take, the next time that we start, on the Seven Seals of Revelation, and the seven natural seals. And, then if we get through in time, take the seven seals on the back of the Book, see. Now, that may take a little time. See, there's seven seals that's opened; there's seven plagues, seven trumpets, all those sevens; and them seals we could take first. But then on the back of the Book is sealed with seven seals.

Did you notice that when the Seven Seals, that followed the Seven Church Ages; when the First Seal was opened, that there was a Thunder? The First Seals in the Book was opened, there was a Thunder. Would not the First Seal on the outside Book open the same way? God doesn't change His program.

And when the First Seal of the Seven that was opened in the Bible, it come forth - - just one, but a blast that shook the whole thing . A Thunder. And then, if the Seals that's on the backside would open, would not it be a Thunder too? I don't know. I can't say.

Brother Branham was not confused when he made those statements, they were preached as a introduction to prime and prepare the believers to comprehend and understand what was going to take place at the opening of the seven written Seals. He explained which part was going to be opened, that which "IS", and which part was to be loosed later, the part on the back of the Book, that is the part which "IS TO COME".

The following quote is very definite and precise to the point, we want to use it's contents as a guide to compare it with many other quotes taken from sermons right up to the end of the Prophet's ministry in December 1965. For a easier reference, we call it quote A and divide it into part 1 (which IS), and part 2 (which IS TO COME).

Quote A was taken from the sermon called "Is this the sign of the end, Sir?", it was preached on the 30th of December 1962. ("Sirs, is this the time?" and "What time is it, Sir?" are different titles to the same sermon). In part 1 we read: "When they come this time", that was fulfilled two and a half month later at the March 1963 Sealopening. It is rather obvious that part 2 will have to be at another time, after part 1 is completed.

In the following 3 quotes, taken from the seventh Seal, the Prophet refers back to that Sealopening and he summarizes it and declared that all what he had foretold has taken place exactly like that. We can see that it is precisely in line with part 1 in quote A , he also confirms what he said in "What time is it, Sir?" has been revealed and vindicated during that week.

The first sentence in the next quote shows us accurately what we were saying about "what IS", and "IS TO COME". The opening of the Seals shows where the church goes (what IS), and how it ends up (IS TO COME).

Now, the opening of the Seals shows where the church goes, and how it ends up. And now, I think the Heavenly Father has been certainly gracious to us for letting us see what we have.

FURTHER CONFIRMATIONS AFTER THE 1963 SEALOPENING

The last quote, preached four month after the opening of the written Seals, has also a part 1 and part 2. Part 1 in this quote tells us the same as part 1 in quote A , part 2 explains that we are waiting for the seven last mysteries to be released at the time of the Coming of the Lord and the Rapture.

The seven other Seals mentioned in part 2 in quote A surely contain those seven last mysteries. Part 1 in quote A was prophetic, part 1 here in "Warning then Judgment" is a confirmation that it was fulfilled as foretold by Brother Branham. The next quotation is a further confirmation of the accuracy of quote A.

Now look what a day we're living in! Look at those Seals, how that drawed that scattered Word of God, what Luther and all the rest of them, that them great reformers that went forth; come right back and showed it in the Bible, where they'd be; every man right to his spot, what he would do and what would happen to the church; what would he do, and what would happen to the church; all these things he left off. And then, in the last day, when we knowed nothing about it, foretold us of a certain thing happening; and even the newspapers and things picked it up, and comes right down and reveals it and ties the mysteries together, Amen! Brother, that's sublime to me! That, to me, lines the Word up.

All these quotations confirm the fulfillment of part 1 in quote A perfectly, not more and not less. In the last quote we can see the "which WAS, and IS, and IS TO COME" very well again. The things the Lord Jesus hasn't done down through the church ages (which WAS), He is doing now (which IS). This dispensation which IS will go on till the last one has come into "the Bride group" as he calls it, and then, thirdly, altogether be taken up (which IS TO COME).

The next quote is just another explanation of part 2 in quote A , the seven "other" Seals on the back side of the Book. It has been ignored by many and will confuse anyone who does not understand this fact of two times seven Seals opened at different times. The Prophet does certainly not refer to the 1963 Sealopening in this quote.

There they are; these trumpets are let loose on the Jews (don't you see?), not on the Gentiles. The Gentile, when them Seals is opened is sealed away. Time has ended; the Church is called.

On the Computer programme, this quote reads: "The Gentile, when them Seals WAS opened is sealed away..." But on the tape, the Prophet's voice says clearly "The Gentile, when them Seals IS opened is sealed away..." In the very next paragraph, on the same page in the book, the Prophet connects "them Seals" to a vision he had seen, a preview of the Bride out of every nation just before she will be ready to be taken up.

Six weeks after Brother Branham preached "Feast of the Trumpets", he had a question and answer service in the Branham Tabernacle. One of the questions asked at that time was:

339. Now, if time ceases when the Seals were opened, then - - is ... If time ceased (pardon me) when the Seals were opened, then the Millennium is also - - then the Millennium is also finished, is it not?

141 No, no! Time didn't cease when the Seals were opened. Misunderstood it. What happened, the mysteries was revealed, not time ceased. See? Just look. Watch real close now, and will - - play your tape if you got it from a tape...

...And now, the opening of the Seven Seals that was given by the Holy Spirit, the Seven Seals only was to make known what had been left off in the dispensations behind us...

...The whole revelation of Jesus Christ is all completed in this Word. See? And if the Seven Seals pertained to the seven churches, it had to be already past, because we're in the Laodicea Church Age... And the Seven Seals was only revealing what they had left off back there, and it opened up what they had left; what Luther left; what Wesley left; and all the reformers, and Pentecostals, and down to the present time.

The statement this person made; "If time ceased when the Seals were opened..." is a very sensible assertion for someone who only knows about one Sealopening. After all, the Prophet did say six weeks before he answered these questions, that when "them" Seals is opened, time has ended, the Church is called. Brother Branham confirms here that the 1963 Sealopening was given by the Holy Spirit, not the corporal Lord Jesus on the Mercy Seat.

The Prophet tried to explain that nothing changed at the March 1963 Sealopening, the mysteries were revealed of what has been and what will be coming in the future. He continues to try to clarify that those seven Seals was ONLY to make known the lost doctrines, he repeats it again that the opening of the past seven Seals was ONLY what the reformers missed in the written Word of God. Brother Branham's answer is again exactly in line with part 1 only in quote A, part 2 was foretold, that will take place at the end of time. Here is another question which someone asked at that time;

348. Brother Branham, some say mercy is over and no one can be saved. Now, is this true? (I'm glad I got this one.) We watch and pray - - we watch the prayer lines, and it seems some are still finding mercy. Now, that's the first question, you got two.

198 "Is mercy over?" Don't never think that! See? Just keep right on doing everything you can until you're taken away. See?

And now, where I think you get it, is about the finishing of the Seven Church Ages and the Seven Seals being loosed. See? The Seven Seals, it's manifested what takes place has - - what has took place. The Seventh Church Age, we're at the end of the Seventh Church Age. When I say the end, that doesn't mean it's this very hour, this very minute.

This questions and answers meeting took place one year and five month after the opening of the seven written Seals. Again, the question asked about mercy and salvation being over sounds logical for any believer who does not know about two times seven Seals being opened at different times. Certainly, when the Lord Jesus comes from the Mercy Seat, time, mercy and salvation will have ceased at that time when He will loose the seven Seals on the back side of the Book.

Brother Branham perceived that this person misunderstands the past Sealopening, he is trying to explain again that it revealed what has taken place already, but we are not at the end yet. With other words, he is saying at the very hour, the very minute at the end mercy and salvation is finish (when the other Seals are loosed).

THE CONFUSION SPREAD ALL OVER THE WORLD

These two questions did not reflect some isolated examples, there was much confusion at that time already about this most important subject because most believers have missed such statements from the Prophet as quote A and all the other quotations where he spelled out the same explanation of two times seven Seals. After the death of the Prophet, this misconception among some of his followers was spread all over the world and that is why we have such beliefs as the "Thunders" and the "Parousia" and many more diversities.

Let us look at a few more quotes. Right up to the end of his ministry, Brother Branham continued to declare time and again that the 7 Angels brought him back to Jeffersonville to open the seven WRITTEN Seals of the Bible. The explanations are always the same: The seventh angel or messenger gathers all the lost mysteries which the reformers had missed, he gathers all the doctrines of the Bible which make up the full revelation of Jesus Christ. As we can see ourselves, the contents of all the following quotes are exactly like part 1 in quote A , there was no change of this doctrine at any time.

The Seals are open. It's revealed to us. We see what they left off. You that want to debate and fuss about the serpent's seed, and water baptism, and so forth, you're blinded and don't know it. The god of this world has blinded you to it, and you don't know it.

And our Message is no different, it's the same Message you've heard all your life, only something more been revealed to It. This Message is the same Message that Luther preached, same Message that Wesley preached, the same Message that Pentecostals preached, only something added to It . What it is, is the revealing of the Seals, what them reformers left off (see?), that's been made known in this day could not be known then.

That the reformers didn't live long enough to - - to bring it out. And here, these seven seals that sealed the whole thing is to be opened in this day.

There are many more quotes like these, but from these few we can get a good understanding of what has been fulfilled and what has not been fulfilled yet as far as the opening of the seven Seals is concerned. Every one of these quotations, till the end of the Prophet's ministry, is in line with part 1 in quote A, which can only mean that part 2 of the same quote is still a future event.

As we have already seen, in Revelation 1:8, the Lord Jesus is introduced as the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending. He is the One "WHICH IS", and "WHICH WAS", and which "IS TO COME". Brother Branham emphasized the fact that the Book of Revelation could not be fully understood until this time, until the days of the Voice of the seventh angel, when he finishes the whole mystery of the written Word, which is what God has declared to the servants the Prophets (Revel.10:7). That is known as the REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST, it is the first fold of the threefold Coming of the Lord.

Brother Branham's ministry, the opening of the seven written Seals in March 1963, and the time for the believers to believe this endtime Message until the very last one will come into the fold, is the time of "WHICH IS". At this time, before and during the opening of the seven written Seals, the Prophet explained in great detail the history of the seven church ages, the part "WHICH WAS". During the 19 years of his ministry, the Prophet also foretold, revealed, exposed, unveiled, uncovered and brought to light the part which "IS TO COME", when the Omega will come from glory to redeem all the saints of all ages "yonder" at the Judgment Seat of Christ.

THAT WHICH IS TO COME WAS FORETOLD

As we can see here, the Message has portions which explain the past, the present time, and foretells the future, what has not yet been fulfilled. The final coming of the Lord has to be foretold, it will be too late at that time to try to find out what's going on. According to Malachi 4:5, the Prophet anointed with the Spirit of Elijah is sent BEFORE the great and dreadful day of the Lord, he is the forerunner, and not the fulfiller of that part of the coming of the Lord. As the Angel said at the river in 1933: "As John the Baptist was sent to forerun the first coming of Christ, so your Message will forerun the second coming of Christ". Let as look at a few quotes where that which "IS TO COME" is foretold:

There's no more Blood on the seat of the... in the sanctuary at all. There's no more Blood on the altar. The sacrifice has been removed; and there's nothing but smoke and lightning and judgment in there. And that's just exactly what's poured out here tonight! The Lamb's done left the - - His mediatorial work. The mediatorial work has been finished from over on the Throne, and the sacrifice, as we've typed Him perfectly - - the Kinsman Redeemer, the bloody Lamb that come forth the Lamb that had been slain, (a bloody One, been killed, bruised) - - come forth and took the Book out of His hand. That's the - - day's are finished. Now, He's coming to claim what He has redeemed! Amen! That just sends something through me!

The Lamb came forth, walked up to Him that had the Book in His right hand, and received the Book. Climbed upon the Throne and sat down. That's it. It was over. When? - - when the seals was revealed. The Bride is sealed in with Christ. The last member has been redeemed. The Sixth Seal has produced itself. The Seventh Seal brings Him back to earth. The Lamb come and took the Book out of the right hand of Him and sat down, and claimed what He owned - - what He had redeemed. Is that right? It's always been that Third Pull. 50-4

There's no more mercy. When the Lamb takes the Book, that's it. That's all of it, and it looks a whole lot like it could be now. Maybe we have another day. Maybe today is that day.

So we're -- we're trying to get every soul saved so that Jesus can come. And He cannot come until that last one that has the name on the Book of Life, that was put there before the foundation of the world, when that name is called, that's the last one then. He came to redeem, to bring back. Redeem is to bring back.
And when He brings the last one in... He's setting at the right hand of God tonight doing His mediatorial work. And when that last soul is saved that was redeemed and seen and knowed by God before the foundation of the world, when that last soul's saved, that closes the Book. Then the Lamb comes out and takes the Book out of the right hand of Him that sets upon the throne. Then it's -- then He's coming then. He's coming to the earth.

These are the kind of quotes which tell us that which "IS TO COME". If we compare them with quote A, we find that they belong to part 2 because they are the seven other, the seven different Seals on the backside of the Book. Brother Branham sometimes tells these future events in a way that it sounds as if it is happening right now, but we must understand that when he sees it unfold in a vision, to him it seems to be present tense.

Just like Isaiah said: "For unto us a child IS born, unto us a son IS given..." It sounds as if it happened right there and then, but his prophesy came to pass over 700 years later, but in the vision it seemed to be present tense to him.
Before and during the opening of the seven written Seals, the Prophet explained the fact that there are two times seven Seals opened at different times. Many did not take these statements seriously, some brushed them aside as irrelevant, and by doing so they threw the order of what was, and is, and is to come completely out of cater. We hope and trust that this chapter will help many true believers to understand when and how a great deal of today's misunderstandings came about, and that it will help them to correct these errors while there is still time to do so.
